Beautiful view and tasty food

There was no power all night and cold water in shower

The view from the deck in the morning was sublime. You couldn't tell where one mountain began and the next one ended, the shadows made them look like cardboard cutouts one moment and fully 3D the next. Sadly I didn't have time to stay and watch how the picture changed over time.

No fault of the hotel but the road to get there was horrendous.

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on a 6 day trek in the Knuckles mountain range. I had a large room with aircon and a comfortable bed. There was a kettle in the room although no tea/coffee - you could ask for this though. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a water leak and at times smelt quite bad. Thankfully you couldn't smell this in the bedroom. The food is mediocre and overpriced but plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best to make my stay comfortable. Overall, perfectly adequate as a base for hiking.
