Hotel Bolyarka

It's good for 1 night stay. I slept through the entire night as I was so tired from traveling. They accept pets. The staff is nice.

The bed was without a sheet below the covering sheet or it was too small for the bed because when I woke up in the morning I was laying on the mattress which was entirely covered in huge lint balls. The AC and the mini bar fridge were not working. The air in the room was stuffy and we left the windows opened through the entire night and it was still too hot. In the morning we received a poor breakfast - I was surprised to be asked what I want to eat for breakfast and given no options except fried egg bread with marmalade. Don't take me wrong - I loved it but the next table had plates with eggs and salad also.

We liked the location, the nice small town, the building and the nice old style rooms. Great food.

There is no actual shower tub în the bathroom, and the water gets everywhere on the bathroom floor....for a longer stay, this could be an inconvenient.

Exceptional authentic food and gorgeous location

We stayed at this hotel during our visit of Melnik. We rented three rooms for our family. The hotel is one of these typical old Bulgarian houses, right in the center of Melnik. The inside and the rooms have been updated. We could park our car directly in front of the hotel down on the street. We totally enjoyed the French Toast that the host made in the morning for breakfast, together with fresh Bulgarian feta cheese, home-made jam and fresh coffee. The location is very quiet, so you can sleep with open windows.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was spaciius and comfortable, very clean. We got a very good breakfast.

The location is perfect, the rooms are ok for the price, breakfast is also ok (not superior but fine), the town itself is amazing. I saw a lot of hotels and this one is good for the town and the price. If I'll be there once again, most probably I'll choose this hotel.

I'd say it worth doing some renovation, all the things are not new. It isn't a big problem, just a perception. Actually, from a functional point of view all was good, no complains. Just align your expectation with the fact that Melnik is a quite tiny town and there are no 5-star hotels at all. Also, actually there is no dedicated parking, you just park your car on the streets near the place. However, it works pretty well :)
