Feels magical and peaceful all at the same time! Rich in history but juxtaposed with contemporary art. The surrounding grounds and views are spectacular! Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Delicious freshly made (from the monastero garden!) breakfast.

Didn’t have a pool, but there is a beach club in the opposite bay if you want to swim.

difficile de se garer mais nous avons trouvé à l'extérieur de la petite ville en pensant à régler le parc mètre par internet l'arrivée pour des personnes à mobilité réduite doit être organisé à l'avance

Staying here is absolutely amazing - getting keys to the castle and being able to come back after dinner when all the tourists have left the islet. The breakfasts here were fantastic, the best we had during our holiday. The staff are wonderful, so helpful and kind. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when visiting Ischia.

It is quite noisy until 11 or 11.30pm due to people having dinner and drinks right next to the room, that would be my only minor complaint. We also couldn't figure out if the AC worked or not.

Staying in Albergo il Monastero is an exceptional experience. You arrive from Ischia with the impressive view on the huge massive rock with the castle on top, and once you are up there, you discover stunning terrasses, churches, gardens and even a vineyard. We enjoyed the sunset on the terrasse with a bottle of vine from the local vineyard and it was an unforgetable moment. The staff is amazing and the rooms are good. Breakfast again was fantastic, home made bread, fresh fruits and a choice of cheese, vedgies, sausages, etc. You feel a bit like in paradise!
