This is an incredibly beautiful and unique property. How often do you get to stay in an actual castle? The views were amazing. Great breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. Clean and well kept. Staying includes free admission for a castle visit. 3

The castle is across a bridge from the main square and it takes a bit of time to get up the castle and to your room (you have to go up a long elevator and then up more stairs). Worth it, but could be a problem if you have mobility issues. The rooms are a little bit small and the "window" is double glass doors that open onto a patio that is used by other people (just FYI).

Our favorite hotel on our trip to Campania/Amalfi! Simple beauty, historic character, relaxing, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, lovely seating areas (be sure to ask the way to the hotel private gardens), stunning views abound. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, WiFi worked well. It opened directly onto the common terrace where we could sit and read or have a drink before dinner, with gorgeous views over the sea. We managed to get a reservation at the on-site dinner restaurant with a choice of tasting menus. It was a highlight of our trip. Short walk into the town of Ischia Port, across a historic stone causeway. So much character! Taxi EUR 20 to the hotel from Ischia Porto ferry (agree the price in advance) Not in any way a criticism, but realize that in a historic castle like this, there are stone stairs and cobblestone paths everywhere - all uneven surfaces. You are always going up and down, part of the charm. A lift takes you part of the way up from the bottom. We would love to return!! Three nights was too short!!
