Hotel Anastasia

Hotel Anastasia it's a very good value for money hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was spot clean. It offers great facilities and it's not very far away from the centre of the city. I can easily recommend it ☺️

The hotel is located across a lovely church and is a short 15-20 minute walk from the city's centre. The rooms are small, but the view of the church is enchanting, and the hotel offers very affordable room service (I ordered a cappuccino to my room both mornings). Key draws are the dedicated parking spots in front of the property and it's location in a quiet part of the city (despite being on a main road).

This review is difficult to write fairly as we stayed during the storm Daniel so we had no water and the whole of Volos was in crisis. However the staff were consistently kind and friendly despite the chaos outside (with flooded streets and most of the downtown area had no electricity). In fact we were very lucky to have chance to stay longer due to our intended plans becoming impossible as the roads to the Pelion were destroyed. The rooms were exceptionally clean which must have been very challenging for the hotel given the lack of running water .

I found the beds hard even for Greece and the pillows were very solid.

For a one star hotel, it has everything and even more you could need. We stayed 2 nights (two way from Skiathos), so we just slept there. Very nice view from the balcony, parking in front of the hotel, large beds, friendly personnel, quiet area. I would come back here anytime.

The mattress too soft for me, the pillows too hard. Overall, a very good option in Volos.

The bed was 1.80 mt long. Not for normal people. I am not a giant, i am 178 and my feet was out of the bed laying on the wooden frame. Impossible to sleep. Comfortable bed is a basic requirement for a room. If the bed is unacceptable all other details disappear.

Perfect and value for money if you don’t want to walk 15-20 min into town. Loved it
