Dewa Bharata Bungalows Legian

Lovely quiet location right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Legian. Gardens were beautiful and well maintained, great pool area and little restaurant. Rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay, water piping hot!

Dewa Bharata has excellent character, with Balanese-style archicture including Hindu shrines, lovely gardens, a nice swimming pool, and a pleasant dining area. It is very close to many restaurants, bars, nightspots and shops .... and yet it is always peaceful and quiet inside the walled garden. It is also easy walking distance to the beach and its also easy to rent a motor scooter at the property and other cheap transport is readily available.

The property has potential to be 10, but at present it is lacking. Great attentnd ion is paid to the gardens but rooms are not properly cleaned. The beds always look nice but floors and bathrooms don't get enough attention. There are TVs, but only Indonesian language channels are provided. I asked if there might be an English language channel and the owner provided one, but another staff member changed it to an indonesian music channel some hours later and it was never returned to the English language channel. Most disappointing is that the property is not being maintained adequately. The bathrooms need work because at present the showers spread water widely and it is causing wood around doors etc to rot. I am sorry to be critical because I like this place. but someone needs to step in and lift the standards to allow this property to reach its potential.

The owner is a really kind person. Location ist quiet, away from the horrible busy main street in Legian. Pool and garden looks nice.

The furniture and the bathroom is very basic, old and not cosy at all. That fact would be acceptable and is okay regarding the price. But it was also very dirty everywhere in the room and the bathroom. As if they didn't cleaned it at all. I also had some big cockroaches in my room. The towels had brown stains and holes, i hardly liked to use them. Overall a bad experience. I travelled a lot through Southeast-Asia and stayed at much better acommodations for the same price.
