White River Inn

STAY AWAY. Illegal practices. Made a reservation through Priceline. Called to inform I was traveling with a service dog and would like a ground floor room. Staff noted the request and said all is fine. A day or 2 later, I received an email that the staff was incorrect and they do not have any "pet" rooms available for my stay. I told the person (LD) that it is a service dog (diabetic alert dog) and not a pet. The person reiterated that my "pet" could not stay there and if I didn't cancel with Priceline, I'd be charged. Again I restated that under ADA, it can stay. I then asked if LD was refusing to honor the reservation, and received NO response. I was traveling for business and could NOT afford to arrive and not have a room. I cancelled through Priceline as I didn't want to be charged. This is highly illegal. I understand that people are abusing the service dog status, but I am not and have a physician's note to support my service dog.

We enjoyed our stay at the White River Inn, we had a room with 2 beds in one room and 1 bed in another room plus a living area. Room was recently updated, and the exterior was nice for an older buildings. There is parking available for atv trailers and larger vehicles. The staff was very friendly. It was a great place to stay while hunting near Meeker.
