The village is delightful and charming, we loved exploring the local attractions. Viscri 32 was stepping into an oasis, rustic charm but completely met the needs of a city girl including strong wifi! Owner Alexu was lovely, shared insights on his favourite spots to visit in the village and beyond. The food ... YUM! Viscri 32 supports local artisans - candles, wines, and other goods. The triple room we stayed in was spacious, the bed very comfortable. The dining room and garden were magic.

Bring an eye mask in the summer as the room was very bright each morning.

Decorated in a modern take on the traditional Saxon style. Everything worked, very tasteful comfortable rooms. Food is excellent and the outside eating area is nice.

The service is really poor and it marred the stay for all of us. We arrived wet after a heavy downpour and we’re greeted with the equivalent of ‘what do you want?’ We were told off for giving their dog a dog biscuit - before we knew they didn’t want their dogs to be fed (table scraps presumably - which is fair enough). We were told to wait when we tried to order some drinks while the only person who took orders cleaned a table. When I asked for some water ( in Romanian) I got a shrug. A lot of tour groups come through and it feels more like a restaurant with rooms attached, coping with a high volume of people. Mara and Alexu, the owners, who make a big deal about caring, were nowhere to be seen and while they have done a fantastic job with the property and food, they have forgotten about the guests’ experience.
