"Eventually the rooms met expectations"

The staff were a friendly bunch of guys

The first two rooms beside the reception had damp walls and were mouldy. There was black mould on the walls, ceiling, plaster board and the bead head. The room smelled like a cave. We were offered two dry, clean, comfortable rooms upstairs of equivalent size and features. These were fine, meeting our expectations. We weren't expecting luxury. It was just disappointing that the two mouldy rooms were being offered to guests. Other guests stated they were also offered these rooms and refused them. They really are a health hazard. The hotel is evidently built too close to the sea.
