Beautifully landscaped compound with secure parking. Staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. Rooms are very clean. The bed is firm and comfortable. The location is quiet and safe, just north of tbe ethnographic museum. This is a wonderful place to stay.

The driveway is a challenge for the 2wd Rav4 that I rented. On the brick road there is a white sign for the hotel, and google maps will also tell you to turn right here.. Don't. Go to the next driveway on the right, and the hill is easier to climb. At the top, make a right, then a quick left and you are there.

By incident, we booked one night to many and realized only after the deadline for making any changes on booking.com. However, the manager was so very kind to cancel the night we did not need without any extra charges. THANK YOU. As for the place itself, it is kind of an oasis, incredibly well kept with a lovely garden and pavillions where the breakfast is served.

It would have been nice to have a screen door, so we could have kept the door of the room open (the only way to get fresh air into the room) without inviting all the mosquitos in.

Very nice rooms with a great view from the balcony. The staff is outstandingly helpful. You should also try their food! It's really good.

the las meters of road to get to the property was in a very bad condition, specially because it was uphill and at night.

Break was lovely. We were well taken care of. Would definitely stay here when in Huye again.

Power outages and unreliable Internet were slightly inconvenient but probably not the fault of property.

I have been to Butare for work, sleeping at Maison Sifa. It is positioned far from the city center, therefore the place is quiet and peaceful. To reach it, You need to walk through an amazing landscape, It gives you the idea of real Africa, and i really appreciated that. They serve only breakfast, however, upon request in the morning, they can also cook dinner for you (paying, obviously). Room are clean and every 2 days they change towel and blankets. Of particolar note, the personnel (Alexis) is exquisitely kind and gentle, a real example of cortesy.

The service was outstanding. Breakfast with Bialetti coffee was amazing. Good shower.

Electricity was offline for a few hours.
