Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma Waterfront

The people who workes there were kind, funny, welcoming, great!

Bed was ultra-soft...both of us woke up with terrible back aches. They never mentioned there is a major train route right across the street...VERY loud, very frequent trains running all day and part of the night and early kn the morning...terrible noise. Feel they need to let people know...expensive room for having to deal with that! Also major construction going on right on the road in front of hotel...hard to get in and out...never mentioned.

Fabulous view. Located right on the water and walking path. Breakfast was nice. Staff was great.

Proximity to railroad crossing where the warning would sound, then the horn would blare, several times during the night.

La gentillesse du personnel, la vue superbe sur l'étendue d'eau avec tous les animaux qui y séjournent, la chambre qui est spacieuse, équipée d'un four à micro-onde et d'un lit très confortable, la possibilité de faire ses lessives dans l'hôtel et de sécher celles-ci, le petit déjeuner américain.

Le klaxon du train, surtout la nuit. Je tiens à souligner que le problème ne vient pas de l'hôtel mais bien du train qui impacte tout le voisinage. C'est une nuisance sonore qui est bien regrettable et qui pourrait facilement être diminuée par les responsables du chemin de fer dans l'intérêt de tous. Espérons que ce soit le cas dans le futur tant cet hôtel mérite d'être respecté et apprécié dans ce qu'il offre de magnifique aux gens qui y séjournent.

Only nice thing was the location

Staff was rude, thermostat wouldn’t adjust, windows don’t open, tv only has like 5 channels, mini fridge was too small for my takeout container, train was loud and kept me up all night, breakfast wasn’t available until after my checkout even though is was visibly available staff wouldn’t let me grab anything.

The location is excellent. Ruston Way runs along the waterfront offering a long walk or run with many good restaurants. The hotel's breakfast was very good and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was traveling solo and felt very comfortable.

The temperature in the room was a little cool. The lighting in the bathroom was a little weak.
