Hotel Saini with Air conditioning

Stayed in hotel Saini for 3 nights in a group of 4 on a touring break around Lake Maggiore. Great location in historical centre of Stresa with numerous shops, restaurants and bars on all sides. Perfect for touring around Lake Maggiore and visiting Milan and southern Switzerland with bus, train and ferry links within a few minutes walk. Good value 3 star hotel with friendly staff who speak excellent English. Good continental breakfast with a choice of cold meats/cheese and sweet items all of a very good quality. No car needed as location is perfect for touring (Airport Bus stops a 2 minute walk away - pre booking needed). We would happily stay again. TIP - contact the hotel directly to choose rooms which vary in size in a traditional Italian building - they will also advise on Airport transfers).

Very friendly, atmospheric, family-run hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Stresa, a stone’s throw from the ferry point and a number of excellent restaurants. Federico was an extremely accommodating and helpful host. Excellent continental breakfasts completed a wonderful stay. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The hotel is in a great location very central and close to lakeside. Hotel & room clean.

Room very basic, quite small (I had single room), no kettle/hairdryer. Breakfast was quite disappointing, not a lot of choice & not very inspiring, just 2 choices of fresh fruit & day 1 no freshly baked bread rolls. Staff were not particularly friendly & it was not the hotel experience I was anticipating from reading previous reviews.

Great staff, great location, nice room- overall good value. would stay again

We are a group of 8 reserving 4 rooms. 1 (room 36) was less desirable than the other 3. The rooms had AC and small balcony however there was no safe. The hotel is very clean, the beds were comfortable and management was attentive. The location was very convenient to train station and waterfront. Breakfast was nice, no hot food but delicious pastries, hard boiled eggs.
