Chew Magna is an interesting old town. The hotel is located in a quiet spot near the river. Despite having a pub/restaurant it was not noisy. The room was an adequate size with adequate facilities. We ate in the restaurant twice and had five excellent dishes and one not great. The food seemed to be made in house and was interesting.

The room had several small but irritating features such as lights dangling where they hit you on the head, a shelf in the shower that could hit you in the face, a movement activated bathroom light that continually switched on and off, cups with little feet that would not stand supported in the coffee dispenser, a tiny fridge that made up in noise what it lacked in size. The breakfast was not worth the effort, a couple of packets of cornflakes and some biscuits. With a bit of thought the room could be made really attractive.

Pleasant location with very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and dual shower.

Would have preferred breakfast in a dining room - milk in fridge went off overnight. A little more attention to cleaning the bathroom and dusting the bedroom.

Lovely quirky pub, rooms were very comfortable, clean and looked well maintained

Its location, its tucked away in a quiet part of Chew Magna within walking distance of shops, nice outside space and beer garden.

Nice pub and good service. Pity about the breakfast and the noisy mini fridge.

Great rooms, comfy beds, nice facilities. Excellent food and drinks. Continental breakfast in the room was perfect.

Parking wasn't great in Chew Magna

Room was lovely and clean, with mini fridge containing fresh milk, juice and yogurts, plus little cupboard with cereal and flapjacks. The only thing missing in the room was a mirror, which made blow drying my hair tricky

Lovely area. Room was changed on arrival. Informed we had been upgraded! No real storage, cupboard door nearly fell off hinges, hanging spaces for a few items. Large room with en-suite shower room. Shower room had sensor light with a glass door which meant there was light flooding the room for a considerable amount of time disturbing sleep and very frustrating. Breakfast in cupboard no hot food very basic. Had meal in pub very nice, restricted menu on certain days, lovely environment.
