Good location and very friendly hosts.

Beds are too soft, and facilities are outdated. Rooms are not very well soundproofed, which can be annoying, especially when someone goes up or down the stairs at night.

Very friendly, clean, excellent price, and value.

Bad Orb is a small and peaceful country village, and the hotel was located centrally near a limited selection of shops, restaurants etc. It offered free parking behind the hotel.

Upon arrival it was a bit complicated to find the hotel because the name on the building was different from that mentioned by Booking.com. However having found it, the owner (or hostess) was busy with her outside smoking hence let me wait for her before checking me in. On my question about breakfast or at least a cup of coffee in the morning, I was advised that this was not possible as she preferred to sleep at that time. About the room I was given a double bed as requested, however it was only made up on one side, the mattress was thin and the "duvet" was so thin that I was freezing and not sleeping well during the night. The whole "hotel" was very much institutional and had no atmosphere. I strongly recommend other travellers to avoid this place.
