Hotel Ker Alberte

This is a pricy hotel in the very centre of Cayenne. walking distance to all sites. the restaurant is OK, however, I though the lunch was much better than the dinner we had here. Service stands out all the way from management to personnel. Very personal and attentive personnel. The rooms are well equipped although a bit dull to my taste. Would still recommend the place to stay at when in Cayenne

Hotel Ker Alberte has very nice & comfortable rooms, with quite & good air conditioning; internet is working; the whole team (Ricardo, Romain, Annie & all) is very nice and helpful: thks again ! Several events are scheduled at night during dinner; The hotel is a minute walk from the Market, and Restaurants are available around. Really a great place to stay in.

Our group arrived in the afternoon, and was warmly received by the hotel staff. We got a short presentation of the hotel before we headed to our rooms. There are no elevators, but we got help with our luggage. The best part was our top floor room with large glass windows providing a nice view. Unfortunately we had no time to enjoy it before we headed out for a guided tour of the city. We did take note of the clean, comfortable room, with a discreet but efficient a/c. The hotel is centrally located, and we could walk straight out to see the city's highlights on foot. There is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor, but our group had scheduled dinner at an alternative location. There is a small pool, and nice little garden around it. The next morning, we departed at 4:30 a.m. and received small bags with a breakfast. I feel we did not do this place justice, unfortunately, but would recommend it to visitors having the luxury of more time to spend.

Pros: - Nice service. - There is a good restaurant there. - Everything was extremely clean. - Good quality linens and towels. - Comfortable bed. - Wi-fi was working properly. - Very nice grounds with a small pool. Cons: - Very very slow checkout. - Price.

Cayenne as town is a bit run down, but this hotel is a oasis. The inn’s main building is a recovered old Caribbean house, the rooms at the back are located in a new building at the back of the property have all the modern conviniences and are confortable. The hotel serves a nice breakfast (french). Lunch and dinner are served also and many locals also come. The menu is not extensive but the all the dishes I tried where good. Note in the French Guiana a lot of the food comes from France. I was very well received by the owner and the staff

We arrived from Belem at 9:30 am, were shown our room (we had asked for an early check-in) and then had breakfast. We stayed for another tow nights and on checking out were not charged for the early check-in. That was very nice of the manager. She did naturally charge for breakfast. The breakfast was great, the location fantastic and the setting very pretty. The manager was a character and very helpful. We ate there and the food was wonderful. Wifi free and good quality. It is a great pity that I will probably never go to French Guyana again.

What a great little hotel in a most convenient location. The rooms were outstandingly renovated and the bathroom was a treat. Cannot speak too highly of this hotel, which was used by the group I traveled with recently. The service was first class and the staff most attentive and pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I arrived after having flown all day and as such did not awake the next morning until well after breakfast was over. However the staff came out with the most delicious bread etc to tide me over until the next meal. Another great feature was the aircon in the room. It was very effective and pretty close to noiseless.The hotel is most conveniently located and close to all amenities. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to other travelers.

Stayed here just for one night back in Nov of 2016. Wished that I had a 2nd night and a bit more time to enjoy the place, but my itinerary did not allow for it. So, it was a late check-in and and early check out. This place is right in the heart of the city, so you cannot ask for a better location. A true 4-star place with 5-star service. Small boutique place. The main entrance into the building leads directly to the reception / lobby area / restaurant / bar. It is all somewhat of a large communal room. Very comfy. The hotel was ready for our group when we arrived in the middle of the night. Check in was quick, and the porter escorted us off to our rooms. There is no elevator here, so if that is an issue for you be sure to request a ground floor room. Porters will assist with bags. There are rooms in the main building and rooms out back on the other side of the pool. All are lovely, clean, modern and comfy with wonderful duvets, a/c, large spacious bathrooms and all the amenities you could ask for. Breakfast was a home-cooked treat. Continental items were spread out buffet style, and then there was a menu of cooked items to order from. Service was quick! You could either sit inside or out by the pool. The pool area is a lovely garden-like oasis that really adds to the atmosphere of this place. Free Wifi throughout the hotel. Luggage storage if you are going out to explore and want to come back for the bags later. The wonderful weekly market is just down the street. Ideal! 100% I would stay here again

We stayed for 4 nights as we explored Cayenne and Kourou. It was a fantastic place to call home for our adventure. We had room 11 overlooking the pool. Great room, great view as seen in picture. The staff went out of their way to be helpful with picnic lunches, dinner reservations and ensuring we had good directions for our next adventure.

The hotel was nicely placed, nearby some of the good stuff we visited. An awesome classic restored building, with everything you need in order to stay comfortable during your time in Cayenne. And yet a better service. Thank you! Totally worth it.
