Benedicts Hotel

We arrived at Benedicts Hotel for breakfast after we had travelled by overnight ferry to Belfast. Not only was the welcome exceptional from the reception staff (Sophie and Eimear), but the restaurant staff went out of their way to attend to our every wish (Pat and Aine). The breakfast was excellent - both the cooked and the continental! Later on, we checked in to our rooms - beautifully laid out, lovely shower and bath, comfortable beds and tea coffee available. Our room was facing a busy main road, but the soundproofing afforded by the secondary glazing was second to none.. We also dined at the hotel where we found the menu was full of choice, the service excellent (thank you Catherine) and the house wine and Guinness we extremely palatable. We challenge anyone to find a better place to stay in Belfast.

There was a short walk to the car park - but a concessionary tariff for hotel guests.

The rooms are big and very clean, excellent bathroom.

The decoration of the hotel is tacky. On the first floors, there is an extremely noisy bar that plays music until 2 a.m. The windows are not soundproof.

Staff was great and food was great

The bar was buzzing and full of life and fun

Door men made you feel very uncomfortable

The decoration , the baths had a ugly smell, the noise at night due to the bar music
