Lovely old hotel. Very warm and welcoming after a day of cycling with my 10 yr old. Host looked after us so well! Self-catering but lovely meals and coffee over the railway line at the Manakau market.

The hotel is warm, welcoming and comfortable, cosy even. Informal with an old fashioned feel, more like a guest house. The location is very quiet and there's no dining in so if you need a meal, eat before you come. I stay in many hotels around the world, few I would bother to return to. This one I did.
