Room Was okay

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. I booked the accommodation for myself and a friend as a short getaway, travelling from the south of the country. While the room itself was satisfactory, the overall experience was completely overshadowed by serious safety and security concerns. On the first evening, when my friend and I returned to the hotel, we witnessed several individuals gathered by the side entrance openly taking drugs. Upon entering the main lobby, there were people inside who appeared intoxicated, causing disruption, and one individual was being sick in the reception area. Outside the hotel, there were fights taking place and police officers were making arrests. Shortly afterwards, my friend went outside after someone mentioned that a bank card had been dropped. It was later confirmed that the card belonged to him. While I remained in the bar area, I heard a significant commotion outside. Looking through the window, I witnessed my friend being attacked by approximately five individuals. I immediately went outside and brought him back into the hotel. As a result of the assault, he suffered cuts to his head and a badly swollen and split mouth. The police attended the scene and made several arrests. Following this incident, my friend no longer felt safe staying at the hotel and decided to return home that same night. In hindsight, I wish I had done the same. Unfortunately, the situation did not improve. On the following evening, as I returned to the hotel, there were individuals who appeared to be drug users sitting outside the entrance. After I used my key to enter the building, they followed directly behind me into the hotel. I have no idea where they went or what they did once inside, but this further increased my concerns about the security of the premises.

I liked the price. I didn’t stay in the room/hotel long enough to really be able to pass comment

Didn’t have a longer stay

It was a small but comfortable room. A nice bed, big TV, tea and coffee station. There's space under the bed for the suitcase. So for a small space very convenient.

Not enough hooks in the bathroom. There was only one hook, so my hand towel and my body towel were on top of each other. Shelve space was also limited, but you can make it work. I would appreciate more space for the towels I used the coatrack instead. Can't open the window, so no air from outside, it would have been nice to have some air circulating in the room.
