Zimbali 2007

The location is perfect. A privately owned apartment inside the Capital Hotel at a cheaper rate than the hotel. Certainly value for money. The host Mr Vibhav was amazing 🤩 . He checked on us constantly and made sure that we received all we asked for. The Cleaner Sibongile was excellent and thoroughly cleaned the apartment and communicated with us after she was done. Mr Vibhav even answered phones at midnight to give us the additional access codes, though I believe access to the estates should be through an access card, but he made sure we had no issues. Apartment is extremely clean, has ample space, eating utensils, a nice big KingBed, cute balcony. We loved our stay here and would recommend the apartment to a couple or a couple with 2 young kids.

Everything was excellent, just a suggestion to even make it more comfortable for guests. I know the hotel rooms went through a revamp to change the initial look to a new modern look. I will suggest a refresher as well for the apartment. The cupboards are looking tired, there is enough space to add a lounge in the apartment with day beds and ottomans . More wall art/pictures, plants either live or artificial plants in pots would do. Two basins in the bathroom instead of one. Access to the Zimbali Estate should be through a tag or access card so that guests don’t bother the host with requests for entry/exit codes.

Host was very helpful ,the apartment is in a 5 star hotel and includes 24hour room service and access to all the facilities of the capital hotel.

Location

The booking should make it clear that this is a private host apartment and not managed by the Zimbali hotel which comes with limitations like no house keeping during one's stay. The room was not clean to hotel standards. There was dust. There was hair all over the apartment. We were only given one room key for 2 adults which was inconvenient. The room only had a cooling system and no heating system. Even though it's December in KZN I was cold for most of the time when I was inside the apartment it was damp and uncomfortable
