Volkspark Hotel

This hotel offered parking so we booked it for this reason but didn't realize how far it was from the center of town. The room was ok, clean, both room and bathroom were well lit.

First of all, the hotel is run by Orientals who did not speak English, they were very nice but only one could speak English, and he wasn't there all the time. The hotel did not have an elevator, so we had to walk up two sets of long winding stairs to get to our room on the top floor. It was recommended to us by the only English speaking person there to take the bus into center and not drive because of parking issues. It was an awful experience, bus hot, full of people, rude young people as well. We did not feel very safe. Then we had to figure out which bus to take to get back to hotel area. They offered wifi but we could never get it to work and no one was available to help us so we never had wifi. No AC so we opened the window for air. Temps in May cool but would definitely not recommend for summer. We only had two bath towels, one hand towel and no bathmat. The hotel is located to serve people who go to soccer games and not tourist wanting to see the town. The price did not include breakfast, and we thought it was very pricey for what it offered. We paid more for this hotel than we did for others that were much nicer and included breakfast and had elevators, etc. I would not recommend this place for tourist going to see the town. The staff was nice, but the place just didn't meet our expectations for the money we paid.

Standort ist perfekt für Zwischenstopp.

Wünschenswert wäre Wasserkocher mit Kaffee/Tee auf dem Zimmer.

Viesnīca atrodas apmēram 3 km no Bambergas vecpilsētas. Viss bija ļoti labi un komfortabli, liela istaba.

Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Personals. Wenn man fragt, bekommt man auch die meisten Sachen, die man gerne zum Frühstück hätte.

Die allgemeine Sauberkeit im Treppenhaus, Fluren und Zimmern, Kein Reinigungsdienst und Zimmerservice zwischen den Aufenthaltstagen, Nur ein großes Handtuch vorhanden, pro Person.

Das Personal war freundlich, allerdings war die Kommunikation aufgrund der Sprachbarriere nicht ganz einfach. Die Zimmer sind relativ neu und gut eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist okay, hat aber noch Luft nach oben. Es sind alle sehr bemüht. Gut ist, dass man direkt am Hotel ein Restaurant mit Biergarten hat.

Der Eingang, das Treppenhaus und der Flur könnten sauber sein. Im Bad fehlte ein Duschtuch für den Boden, somit war der Fußboden recht glitschig. Wir wurden nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass die Zimmer nicht gemacht werden. Das ist bei zwei Nächten kein Problem, aber bei einem längeren Aufenthalt schon,
