It was noisy in the night and in the morning as well. Bathroom fanlight was broken. Bad smell on the bedsheets. We requested 3 beds and they gave us only 2 beds. We book the family room , but they gave us a different room not the family room. They told the family room will be expensive. No food was available to buy. No water bottles were available in the room, No value for money

Geräuschkulisse: Fahrzeuge von der Straße waren dauerhaft zu hören, auch nachts. Internet: sehr langsam, teils komplett ausgefallen. Frühstück: in 2 Wochen Sri Lanka echt das Liebloseste (ungetoastetes Brot, Margarine, Marmelade, 1 kaltes Spiegelei). Moskitos im Zimmer und kein Netz. Fleckiges Handtuch.

Staying at the Mist Holiday Bungalow felt like a home away from home. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The food was incredible and very affordable. Really good value for money

Can be noisy from construction. Intermittently the hot water didn’t work

The hotel is in an amazing location, short walk from the station and town and a stunning view off the hillside. It is literally hanging off. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a nice stay and would recommend. It is fair for the price.

However the room and bathroom could definitely be a lot cleaner. It was also a bit tired and could definitely do with a freshen up. It was also very misty and damp in Haputale which couldn’t be helped due to the weather, but something to bear in mind. If it was cleaner it would be 10/10 as the facilities do match the price. But it wasn’t. We still enjoyed our stay and the view was amazing.

This guesthouse is located within the city centre and opposite the railway station. There are a number of eateries and shops within walking distance to cater to your needs. In fact, the most convenient way to have breakfast, lunch or dinner is right at the restaurant within the guesthouse. It has affordable prices, freshly prepared good food and drinks as well as sitting areas on the balcony and terrace. We enjoyed a warm welcome and a quick check-in. The complementary tea was great to warn us up during the grey and wet weather. The family was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well maintained. Hot water was provided instantly and safely.

The only negative aspect is the noise from the main road. But luckily, the traffic gets much lesser after 9 pm. Google Maps might be misleading you. The turnoff is 100 m behind the location point at the big signs "Buona Vista" and "Assembly of God Church".

thank you very much for a wonderful stay, which was one of the best in Sri Lanka. we had a spacious room with a living room and a terrace with the best view. there are lots of hiking trips to tea plantations and a tea factory within walking distance. Ella is accessible by train but Haputale is a much quieter, more picturesque place. The food was absolutely great and we were treated like part of the family the whole stay, our children wanted to stay the whole holiday 🙂 thank you very much and hopefully we will come back someday.
