Buudai hotel

Friendly staff, good location

Breakfast had no coffee, basic issue as toilet brush was missing, price in booking didn’t match price in hotel. Bit overpriced for Mongolian standards

Check in was very quick and efficient. Reception staff was friendly and supportive

The room was very small. There was no wardrobe to put my clothes. Furniture in the room was very basic.

I love this hotel, which seems like it’s from another era. It’s clean and comfortable, and there’s a really nice lounge on the first floor, where you can sit as a group, or relax if you arrive too early to check in. The staff don’t speak English, but they are very sweet and try their best to help. Breakfast is a choice between a set local or western plated meal. This was my second time staying here - I wanted to return, I just love the whole vibe that is so different from hotels we’re used to. But if you’re looking for a western-style hotel and full service, you might be better off elsewhere. I highly recommend Buudai for historical romantics!!

Unfortunately water was only intermittently available, so it was not easy to plan showering. We were given bottled water to wash our faces. I think it was a town supply issue, as someone at another hotel had a day without water. It didn’t happen when I stayed here last year, so I don’t think it’s an ongoing problem.

Excellent and friendly staff. Great comfortable room. Great place to stay. The photos on the listing don’t do it justice.
