The staff were slow but friendly. The food was very tasty, we ate quite a few different dishes and loved them all. The location is great - a really nice stretch of quiet beach and short drive to all the best restaurants and cafes. The sun loungers are very comfortable and plush, perfect for lazing on the beach. They are also dog friendly, which we really enjoyed.

The room we stayed in was so bad! We had the king suite palapa room and it was like an uncomfortable, loud sauna!! You couldn’t open the windows for air because they had no mosquito nets on the windows, the air conditioning didn’t work because the roof had holes all over it, so all the cool air escaped. The owner agreed that it was hotter inside than outside but all he could do was offer us a floor fan. At night there were also tonnes of giant bugs, like crickets, that would fall all over the floor and bed from the palapa. We wrapped ourselves in a black mosquito net that was hanging over the bed and spent the night sweating and hiding from the bugs. You could hear absolutely everything through the palapa, including the next room talking all night and a loud party until 1am going on next door. The walk up to the room was also terrifying. Narrow rickety wooden steps with a thin piece of wood at the side for “support”. It really all felt like such an afterthought. We were very uncomfortable. The second night, they agreed to move us to a different room. Much smaller but absolutely lovely! I wish we had stayed in that room the whole time, it completely changed the experience.
