This place was a dream come true. Generally when I travel I make it a point to explore the area I'm in as much as possible, but I felt little to no need to leave this stunning and comfortable location. Incredible views, wonderful lounge area, friendly people.... When I did leave the grounds, it was very convenient to get to restaurants, shops, the nature preserve, and the town ATM. This funky, quiet, friendly area was a highlight of my Yucatan roadtrip. Highly recommend! (Just don't tell too many people about it....)

Be aware that the winter is when the North Winds come in- this makes El Cuyo an excellent spot for kite surfing, but for the casual beach goer it may be a surprise. I had two different reservations here just due to what rooms were available when I booked. The view in the ocean room was INCREDIBLE, but the wind cutting through the thatch made it a bit chilly. They are happy to provide extra blankets, etc. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of. The lower level room without the thatch was very cozy and quiet, no extra blankets required.

Très bon emplacement, proximité avec de bons restaurants.

Hébergement fait de bric et de broc, très rudimentaire (pas d'éclairage de chevet, pas de miroir à hauteur de visage, pas d'éclairage au-dessus du lavabo, douche de tête dont la moitié des trous est bouchée...). Et j'avais la chambre la plus chère ! En résumé, c'est un peu root, mais ce n'est pas très cher.

Très bel endroit, simple mais avec tout ce qu'il faut. Confortable et pouvant être intimiste

L'heure de check-in à 15h et le check-out à 11h le lendemain. Ca fait court..
