The Burnside Hotel

Room was very clean and the bathroom was modern and spacious. Cleaned on a daily basis. We are well traveled and can safely say that the breakfast was of an exceptionally high standard. The bar meal was reasonably priced and both tasty and filling. All staff were friendly and helpful. A big bonus was that there was ample free parking. The train station is about a four minute walk from the hotel.

Slight noise from the local train line. Did not interfere with our stay.

everything. clean, tidy, quiet... just perfect after that hell hole of the 'Best Western'. The beds were big enough to give you room.... PLENTY of room... you could be in 2 different postcodes they are that big.

Approximately 30 years since I last stayed here, I don't think the rooms have been upgraded since then.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Shower was very hot and powerful. Breakfast was amazing, cooked fresh with plenty of options. We would go back again.

Great location ,good value for money,great breakfast, and clean the staff were friendly and helpful all of these outweighed the couple of negatives

Was noisy creaking floors ,also electrical sockets were very awkwardly placed at bed
