Hotel Bei der Esplanade

Ich kannte dieses Hotel. Netter Empfang. Altes aber gepflegtes Unterkommen.

Was ich wohl diesmal übersehen hatte, das ich ein Zimmer ohne WC und Bad hatte. Das möchte ich in Zukunft nicht mehr. Auch wenn ich nur ein paar Stunden Aufenthalt habe.

Exactly what I was looking for, an older, clean, comfortable hotel with a nod to the past, with character and flair of a place whose prime was probably in the 60’s. 2-person elevator was just enough for one person and luggage to meet the rest of us on the 3rd floor. The spiral staircase wrapping around the elevator was straight from a lovely Audrey Hepburn movie. The staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us store our luggage before check-in so that we could walk around the city. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms rooms clean. The entrance was ornate, a wonderful change from the typical, generic lobbies in most hotels.

We had a little trouble turning the key at the main door to get in the hotel at night. Might need an upgrade lock mechanism. Though not a problem for us, the entrance has many stairs from street level. I work with seniors and see this as a barrier for low mobility guests. Not built for wheelchair access.

Décoration un peu vieillotte et accès difficile pour personnes à mobilité réduite / famille avec poussette : dizaine de marches pour accéder à l'ascenseur

Η τοποθεσία ήταν εξαιρετική γιατί είσαι κέντρο . Το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό. Το συστήνω αν θέλεις να είσαι κεντρο .

Γενικά ήταν παλιό μέσα και τα έπιπλα και θα μπορούσε η μοκέτα να είναι πιο καθαρή .
