24-hour reception is nice, and they did try to help with the noise issue. Bedsheets were clean.

There was a constant electrical humming noise throughout the room. The best that reception could do is give us a key to another room; the noise was also present there (but quieter on the bed, at least). There were foul smells in the corridors and especially the bathroom, which was also a bit mouldy. The room was not really clean. In the middle of the night, a couple in the other room had a fight which woke us up and we could hear everything. There was more shouting in the corridor in the morning, and again it almost felt like it was in the room.

The hotel dates back to the socialist era, it’s a tad dated but has its flair. it’s clean, the staff is very friendly. it’s within a walkable distance from plovdiv’s centre - if you don’t mind a tad of a walk. its a pretty quiet neighbourhood.

The room had a weird and annoying (like electrical) noise.. most likely from the hotels slightly dated ventilation system (despite the room’s ventilation being switched off). not sure if that was just my room, or if it’s a general issue, but if you’re super sensitive to such noises, that would be an issue. breakfast options could be slightly improved upon ;) and depending on your fitness / willingness to walk, it takes about 40 minutes to walk to plovdiv’s lovely centre. I didn’t mind (actually quite to the contrary) - but if you’re not good on foot, this might be an issue
