Photos don’t match to reality, really good marketing job with photos, rooms are very small, they show mainly the luxury rooms, water flow in the shower is very poor, sink very small and uncomfortable. None HVAC.

The room was incredible, the facilities are clean are really good. The staff is amazing and they help with anything you require. The parking space is private so you are good if you have a car.

This hotel is a such a hidden gem! It’s tucked away yet very open to a gorgeous view. I originally planned to stay in Cartagena for my first time in Colombia but I took a chance and booked here in the Santander area. When I arrived I was greeted and given a tour. I could tell that a great amount of planning went into setting up the suite. The lighting, fixtures, and every detail you could think of was luxurious. There was wifi, a loaded minibar, rainfall shower, remote control AC, smart tv, and this super cool kettle for tea & coffee lovers like myself:) I was able to work remotely on my laptop and relax by the private pool at my leisure. This hotel is as close to heaven as you will ever get. The service from every staff member was 5-stars and everyone I encountered here was kind, helpful, and attentive. Housekeeping was very thorough and did a great job keeping the room clean everyday. The food was great as well, they have an extensive menu with a large variety of options. My personal favorites were the tamales, mojarra fritas, empanaditas, filet mignon, and the santanderean arepas are so good. With private transportation, it took about 3 hours to get to the hotel from the Bucaramanga airport but the long ride was well worth it. I would not risk driving myself as the roads have a lot of twist and sharp turns at high elevations. I do not speak spanish very well but I felt comfortable, safe, and valued as a guest here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a peaceful vacation or even a change of scenery.

The only thing I didn't like was the path.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. They were extremely accommodating and allowed me to change my arrival dates without hesitation. They provided clear directions to the hotel and ensured that I could find my way safely and efficiently from the Bucaramanga airport. A delayed flight and long drive meant that I arrived late, tired, and hungry. Hotel staff greeted me and carried my bags into a beautiful, spacious, and elegantly decorated room. The hotel kitchen had already closed but they prepared me a delicious dinner and drinks. The king size bed is extremely comfortable with soft, high quality linens. The room has large windows and doors that open onto a private patio/plunge pool. It has remote controlled black-out shades that allowed me to sleep late. Each morning I opened the shades and windows to a lovely view across the hills; sunlight; birdsong; and a completely private patio, pool and sitting area. I enjoyed delicious breakfasts in an open air dinning area. The menu offers many breakfast choices as well as lunch and dinner options (a well-prepared, tender steak and a burger and fries were among my favorites). The owners (who speak English), and their staff took excellent care of me. They provided helpful information about where to go and what to see. I returned every day to a clean room, a made bed, and fresh towels. The owners and staff were sincerely pleasant and helpful without being intrusive. There is a second swimming pool shared by all of the guests that is a relaxing place to hang out and just large enough for lap swimming. Being outside of San Gil allows access to all of the same activities without the noise and pollution. The hotel is a reasonable driving distance to sights and places of interest and it offers a safe, well-lit, free parking area. My favorite activities included: Barichara and the hike from there to Guane; Curti and the nearby river and waterfalls, El Paraiso. The hotel is so pleasant and relaxing that I extended my stay.
