Host St Ives was the ideal base for exploring this stunning part of Cornwall. Rassie is an exceptional host—helpful, genuinely friendly, and full of great local tips. His warm South African accent alone could brighten your day, and honestly, I’d happily grab a pint with him anytime. He even inspired us to go for a sunrise swim in the sea—an unforgettable experience! The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, with thoughtful details in every corner. The interior is stylish, the lighting can be adjusted with different ambient scenes, and even the shower gel smells like gorse—the iconic yellow flowers you see everywhere around here. As tempting as it is to just relax in the room, be sure to get out and explore. There’s so much to do in and around St Ives: hike to Zennor or even Gurnard’s Head, take a boat trip, visit beaches, explore the chapel, discover great restaurants, check out 3 Mile Beach, or catch a film in the small cinema just around the corner. Highly recommended—we’ll be back!

Fantastic location, wonderful continental breakfast (with gluten free well catered for), and an excellent host. Recommended.

The room was beautiful and finished to a very high standard. The bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional. The living area with big comfy sofa was a lovely addition. Great coffee machine and loved the loose leaf tea and teapot. Clearly a huge amount of thought has gone into the design of the room. Heating, air conditioning and fire mean this room would be comofrtable all year round.

More bedside table/storage is needed. There is just a tiny table there that I couldn't reach from the bed due to the large curved headboard. I had to drag a chair over to use as a table. The location is extremely noisy with passing traffic. The huge sash windows are lovely, but give no relief from the constant buses, cars and motorbikes. Not what I expected at all. The check in process was stressful, having to pull up on a busy narrow road with double yellow lines to quickly pass all our belongings to the staff, then go on a jolly mission to find the car park. The parking space was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but it was not convenient at all.
