Ceagull

Room was spacious and cool, and bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and Ceagull is only a short walk to Kabalana Beach. We got a significant discount when booking and this meant the room was amazing value.

Poor bathroom drainage meant the bathroom floor easily flooded after a shower and didn’t drain. Due to the window design, the room was quite dark and there was no way to let light in without also letting in the heat. While not the hotel’s fault, the monkeys caused significant noise from the roof of the top floor - could be worth asking for a second floor room!

Good hotel for short term stay. The property is nice outside. Super friendly stuff. Rooms were okay for its money. Good location. There is nice Ahangama beach (surf spot) next to hotel. And good restaurants are nearby.

Some items in the room are outdated.

Everything is just great! Beautifully maintained nice villa away from the noise and dust. Just a 5 min walk from the main road, but tuktuks pass it regularly. Some very nice little restaurants right next door. The rooms are quite spacious, even the standard double ones. The Family and Family Suite rooms are just perfect for the family. The beds are new and very comfy, pillows as well. Bathroom has a shower in the middle of the room, which seems to be a standard for Sri Lanka, but there was enough space around it.. Maybe a floor towel could be a nice improvement to be made. Breakfast is included and has several options, mine was 4 eggs sunny side up, 3 toasts, a fruit plate, jam and butter, and a whole pot of coffee. More than enough to get the day going. Other options include pancakes which other guests seemed to have enjoyed. The staff is very helpful, kind, and attentive. Whenever anything needed to be fixed (water pressure dropped, or a/c remote needed new batteries), they did it right away. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Forstår ikke helt alle de gode anmeldelser. Værelserne er meget mørke, bortset fra om natten hvor der kommer lys ind fra skoderne over døren. Ingen information fra personalet ved indtjekning om fx tidspunkt for morgenmad, eller at de ikke gør rent medmindre man beder om det. De havde heller ikke ekstra nøgler, så vi skulle aflevere vores nøgle hver gang. Det værste var dog at der kørte en generator ude foran værelset som larmede helt ekstremt, også om natten. Morgenmad var først fra kl. 8:30. Personalet snakkede så højt om morgenen at vi blev vækket af dem. De brugte hele hotellet til at tørre håndklæder og sengetøj, så det var ikke særlig indbydende at bruge de stole der ellers stod de rådighed ved vores værelse som terrasse.

Hele goede prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Ruime kamer, vriendelijke staff, locatie is zeer goed/nabij het strand. Housekeeping moet je om vragen, maar wordt vervolgens zorgvuldig uitgevoerd. Zouden het hotel zeker aanbevelen.

Zero communication pre-arrival and after I left. I try to call, send messages, no answer. Very inconvenient when you arrive at 3 am and don't know if you will be able to access the room
