Hotel Saint Germain

Everything is above the average, the way they keep the food for Breakfast is somehow not at ease to get

Look. Braila is an old town. And it is hurting. But the people were wonderful. The Saint Germain is an old building, but it's well taken care of and the staff is amazing. I woke up with a view of the Danube river. The bed was comfortable and they actually have really good WiFi.

Although it is just steps from the old town city square, the city is run down and dirty. But there is still so much beauty in those old buildings. Even walking around the streets late at night, I felt safe. In addition to the hotel restaurant, I had a chance to visit several of the close by restaurants. Restaurant Carol, La Fenice, Casa Domneasca. All were delicious.

The staff went the extra mile on everything. The sheets were pristine. The hotel is clean. There is also a charging station. The family room is a gem as you can bring the two beds together.

I one of those who dislikes air fragrances. Luckily, this didn't spoil the room air too much, it was mostly contained in the hallways. Historical buildings need to keep their design, which means lifting luggage or expensive retrofits to the design, i.e. elevator, for just 1 floor in this case.

The breakfast was excelent , many options and it was kept safe, the coffee was amazing.
