GBLynmouth is very quiet in the evening We ended up having to walk up to Lynton The hotel was very traditional We only met one of the owners who was helpful It was pretty cheap for a weekend trip. Lynmouth is a quant friendly village. The steakhouse and Thai restaurant up in Lynton were both great for food.
The breakfast ordering system was not great We were asked to tick on a sheet if we wanted two of anything so ticked everything in the one box and ticked twice next to the eggs to request two. We obviously misunderstood the instructions. We only got one of everything for both of us ie only one fruit juice and one bowl of cereals and one banana (no chance to get a second one as it hadn’t been ordered 😳) we did get a second orange juice after we asked. Only one egg but did get two breakfasts luckily but the sausages were undercooked and not edible. Second day we ordered two omelettes which were great. The bar was never occupied so couldn’t have a drink to take into the garden There were signs everywhere to say you could not take your own drinks into the gardens so we went out to the nearby riverside instead. The bed was not too bad but we were awoken by a loud humming noise very early both days
