Hotel Fioriti

This hotel is family owned and operated. The Fioritis have owned the establishment for nearly two decades with two generations participating in the day to day operations. They treat you like family and welcome you like it is the first time each time you enter the lobby. If you have not been to Matelica, it moves at a different pace than the typical tourist city or commune. We were in the commune to research suitable locations for a real estate purchase. The Fioritis were very accommodating especially Isabella and she thoughtfully answered every question we posed. It is a warm inviting atmosphere. English is spoken for those who are not Italian speakers which we are not. The room while sparse, served its purpose and we slept soundly each night we were there. The bathroom is small but was clean and functioned as expected. Momma Fioriti is the baker of the family and baked numerous cakes available any the small continental breakfast each morning along with your morning coffee or juice. We no doubt will return to Hotel Fioriti our next trip to Matelica.
