Backwoods Bed and Bath

It was perfect location. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed the balcony.

Walls are a little thin & the couple to the north weren't very quiet but we managed 😊

We have stayed here many times. The location and ambiance is really neat.

Last year's stay, we experienced what looked like bodily fluids and skin cells on the sheets and blankets. We removed all that and slept on our jackets. We decided to come back again, as that was a first, and this time the blankets and sheets seemed fine. However, there were fake, used fingernails and all kinds of dust/ debris on the floor to wall areas. We really love this place, but the cleanliness has seemed to fade. We booked this room for a Sunday night, and it does not say anywhere in the Booking ad they close at 4pm. We received multiple phone calls and texts as 4pm neared, we did not receive them as we were on a bike. We arrived at ten minutes to 4pm. She was not very nice about it. We had no idea, we planned on dinner there. Nope, closed at 4pm. I don't know what would have happened if we arrived after 4pm as far as checking in. This is a really neat place, but we have grown tired of the lack of cleanliness along with the attitude we experienced.

The property is in a great location.

We like old fashioned places and furnishings but our room was old and tired and outlets were not in good locations. There was no sitting area (just one straight backed chair). The lighting was inadequate. The bed was not comfortable (and it was the only place to sit). The bathroom needs a deep clean and the toilet needs to be fixed. There are chairs outside on the porch but it smelled like cigarettes because of the ashtray cans. AND, we were hit with an undisclosed fee for using our credit card to pay.

Very Clean, great location. Size of rooms. Refrigerator was great.

Limited parking for guests near entrance, but is ok if you don’t have a lot of luggage to transport. Beds were comfy for 1 person, but for 2 people need newer mattresses so you don’t sink to middle of bed.
