Hotel Chasa Chalavaina - Historisches Hotel des Jahres 2024

Sehr schönes Hotel (rund 800-jähriges Gebäude) im historischen Stil erhalten und mit viel Charme renoviert - zu grössten Teil noch im ursprünglichen Zustand - direkt am Dorplatz resp. neben dem Kloster San Jon - Bushaltestelle praktisch neben dem Hotel. Das Abendessen in sehr schönen Speisesaal ist sehr zu empfehlen - Frühstück mit vielen lokalen Produkten. Ich komme gerne wieder zurück.

Für mich hat alles gepasst.

L'hôtel Chalavaina est une magnifique maison qui respire le calme et la tranquillité. Chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner délicieux avec des produits de la région, le jardin est un petit paradis et le soir un thé dans le stube est un vrai plaisir Les bouquets qui décorent les différentes pièces de la maison viennent du jardin et c'est un régal pour les yeux.

Nous avons trouvé que le prix du menu du soir était surfait pour des clients de l'hôtel qui n'avaient pas pris la demi-pension.

An absolutely stunningly renovated, grand medieval building. Utterly gorgeous interiors and tasteful artwork and design. Perfectly placed for a touring cyclist attempting Umbrail - Stelvio early in the morning.

Possibly my own fault, but a sleepless night thanks to a swarm of flies in my room. I am guessing that there may be a cattle shed in the proximity of my window (views gorgeous), and that at the risk of spoiling the room with a view aesthetic, some means of stopping the flies entering the window would be a wise addition. One staff member was very lovely and welcoming but I am afraid a couple of others were impolite and cold. Perhaps it was my cycling vibe and they were concerned that I was bringing the tone down. Or perhaps they were just rude.

Sehr stimmig und liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit schönem Zimmer und angrenzendem Garten. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und bietet alles was das Herz begehrt. Das Abendessen war grandios.

An der Unterkunft gibt es fast nichts auszusetzen. Modernere Badezimmer wären nice to have. Das Hotel ist leider nicht nur bei Gästen, sondern auch bei Fliegen sehr beliebt, was im Zimmer leider ein wenig störte.
