I had a truly wonderful stay at The 14 Gables! From the moment I arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the owner and manager made me feel completely at home. Their genuine hospitality and attention to detail truly set this place apart. The location is incredibly peaceful—tucked away in a quiet corner, making it a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind and recharge away from the noise and crowd. The services were excellent, and the service boys deserve special appreciation for their politeness, efficiency, and ever-smiling attitude. They were always attentive without being intrusive, making sure every small request was taken care of promptly. The food was a highlight! Delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Whether it was a light meal or something more hearty, the flavors and quality stood out every time. And I must mention the breakfast—an absolute treat. It was wholesome, with a lovely variety of options to suit every palate. Enjoying breakfast in such a calm and scenic environment was a perfect way to start the day. Of course, no visit would be complete without a mention of Sultan, the adorable and friendly dog who adds a unique charm to the property. He’s so gentle and welcoming—truly the heart of the place! All in all, The 14 Gables offers a rare combination of comfort, charm, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing experience.

You need to have car to go to city. Rest nothing.

Wonderful room and location. A 4 km walk takes you to Old Manali through a pristine valley with chirping birds and aroma of vegetation. A 3 km walk takes you to Majhachh temple with wonderful view. A 2 km walk takes you to Domino's Pizza across the Beas and Nehru Kund. They kept the promise of electric kettle and refilled the coffee. They also shared an umbrella for free which was useful.

Too greedy. I asked for car services to Rohtang pass and Atal tunnel for which they quoted Rs 6000 while I made the trip with a driver I met for the 1st time in Rs 3500. Though free breakfast was promised and I was told they have buffet in the morning, they didn't serve buffet on 31st June. That is fine if the number of people are less, but items like fruit juice should have been there given you are charging Rs 4000+ per night. One night I had dinner and they charged Rs 30 for handmade roti (without butter) and Rs 100 for each cup of milk. While entry, they took the id cards, photocopied and said they will fill the details later. While check out, they came to the room and took the luggage. I asked the boy to stop at the counter, but he pretended not to listen and took the luggage to the car and loaded it, even though I hadn't introduced the driver to him. While I went to check out, I was told they filled the details but I insisted to check. I noted they wrote my father's name instead of mine, which can be a mistake. But they forgot to write the check out date and time, which I filled.
