Really enjoyed my stay at the Ascot. Wonderful staff who were always friendly and cheerful and couldn't do enough for you and it was great to meet Norman the owner who is a very nice guy. If I need to stay in Douglas again I will be staying at the Ascot again.

I didn't have breakfast. The location was excellent! The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful.

The two flights of narrow stairs to my room! Also, this is not the hotel's fault - the floor in my room was really uneven!

"Loved it and would go back."

We had a family room, which was effectively two linked rooms and there were two TVs. Lots of space. We had a view down to the sea and it was a good location just behind the promenade. Breakfast was good with a buffet selection combined with a cooked to order cooked breakfast. Good value for money, would recommend.

The staff - fantastic! I never write reviewes unless hotels have been exceptional - one way or the other. This place knocked my socks off.

If I’m going to be REALLY picky, the lack of a fan in the bathroom has caused a mold stain on the ceiling, but that is a really minor issue.
