The staff were very friendly, Joey the barman especially so. His recommendation for the meal, bangers and mash, was spot on. Fantastic local sausages, the biggest I've ever had. The locals made me feel welcome. A very good stopping place.

The castor on the bed kept coming off. Hopefully it was fixed after telling the staff about it.

Shower upstairs require maintenance and new shower head. Rooms air conditioner requires maintenance as well.

Lovely atmosphere when we arrived lots of people at the pub having a meal or a few drinks while waiting to watch the state of origin. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The meal was delicious and very tasty. Our room was upstairs there was a facility to make beverages. I had an ovaltine and hubby made a coffee before retrying to bed. It was a pleasure laying in bed and listening to the people downstairs enjoying the footy eventhough it's not my thing. I had a peaceful sleep the bed was comfortable. The rooms are simple nothing fancy just practical neat and clean.The bathroom is old but so is the building but that gives the place lots of character. Upon leaving we were uncertain what to do with the key found a cleaner and gave her a fright as she had headphones on.She was a lovely lady and we chatted for awhile. During our discussion we learnt that the food on the menu was mainly handmade at the premises. The cleaner said her daughter makes cheesecake for them but only available at lunchtime. Damn will have to plan to travel through at lunchtime to taste the cheesecake. Definitely will be back .
