The location is great. The artwork and statues were beautiful. Our waiter was great, excellent service, he delivered a delicious sushi platter.

The place is quite run down. It is supposed to be a five-star boutique hotel. I messaged the hotel the day before arriving to arrange time by the pool on arrival. We were unbelievably disappointed. Firstly, there were men fixing stuff most of the afternoon, so it was not ideal to lay by the pool. When they finally left, we wanted to relax on the day bed, but the cushions were so solid and dirty it was not possible, even flipping them over. We sat on the benches under the canapes, which were quite rickety having our cocktails. The towels in the bathroom were so hard and scratchy. Not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel If you would like to arrange anything special for an occasion, an additional R2500 is the minimum extra price you have to pay. That includes wanting to have an early check-in (1 and half hours early)

The ambiance is always great for me.

The bathtub was worn out and old, and the tv dstv was not functioning. The phone system was not working, and I had to walk to the reception on two occasions to get assisted.
