Randiya Sea View Hotel

The location was perfect, the rooms were clean.The staffs were friendly and accommodating. Kids loved the swimming pool. Thanks to Dilmi and Sachini for fulfilling all our requests and making out stay comfortable.

The property had beautiful rooms with great view. The hotel staff was amazing and couldn’t do enough.

DO NOT EAT BREAKFAST IN THIS HOTEL!!! Whilst me and my husband stayed in this beautiful hotel with hard working, helpful staff, we decided to go down for the breakfast buffet (in a separate building) in the morning. We were informed the buffet was 2500 rupees per person. When we got there, there was no buffet available. We asked the waiter for a menu to see what was on offer he said he would get one. 2 minutes later he returned with a plate of freezing cold food. I asked why have you brought this food we just wanted to know what options there were for breakfast. He said he will get the menu. Again, 2 minutes later he returned with another plate of cold food that had clearly been sitting out for a long period of time. Whilst telling the staff that we did not order any food we just wanted to look at the menu, they started laughing in our faces. They called the chefs up who were also laughing in our faces when we were telling them we didn’t order any food. To our surprise, another 2 plates of cold food were brought to our table which made a total of 4. The group of approximately 6 (staff) started talking in Sinhala. They didn’t realise my husband understands the language and he could hear them talking about us as they thought we couldn’t understand them. Whilst they stood there laughing and talking about us myself and my husband walked to main reception. The receptionist was so helpful and really understanding. She was not aware that the buffet wasn’t prepared by the kitchen! There was no apology off the kitchen staff. They tried making out we didn’t ask for the menu and we wanted the food. The hotel staff are incredible and so helpful but the kitchen staff, I literally have no words for their shocking service and attitude to customers.

Wasn't expecting the electricity to go out! My room wasn't ready even though I was there much later than check in time. Wifi was on and off. Rooms were basic. Good location though and it was recommended so may be I was just a bit unlucky!
