Hotel Ronce

There are a few Michelin-starred chefs in our city, but none of them makes pasta as good as this. Be sure to choose Ronce with their half-board option, otherwise you'll miss a culinary experience. Rooms are comfortable, the food is superb, and the wellness facilities are very nice too. While the surrounding ski areas are not directly connected to Sella Ronda, they are still great. There is a ski bus, and you can even ski directly from the hotel to the lift and back—though the return route requires a bit of skill.

This was our second stay, and over the past few years prices have risen considerably—but that's the economy we live in. There is no tea or coffee maker in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large, spacious, and very clean. I especially appreciated having a bathtub in the bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the view of the mountains from the balcony was beautiful. We also really liked the breakfast. The only downside was that there was no electric kettle in the room. However, the staff kindly provided us with hot water from the kitchen whenever we needed it. Another thing to keep in mind is that the road up to the hotel is quite steep. It can be rather inconvenient if you are traveling with heavy suitcases or bags. However, be sure to read the hotel’s email carefully before your arrival. The hotel offers a shuttle service from the center of Ortisei that will take you directly to the hotel (alternatively, you can use the local bus). A nice bonus is that the hotel provides complimentary travel passes, which are valid throughout South Tyrol during your stay. This makes it very easy to explore the region using public transportation.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und die besondere Unterstützung im Hinblick auf unsere Tochter, welche leider gleich am ersten Tag einen Skiunfall hatte, ist hervorzuheben. Wir haben uns sehr gut beraten und versorgt gefühlt.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Das Zimmer ist blitzsauber. Das Essen ist eine kulinarische Begeisterung. Noch nennenswert ist die Lage: das Hotel befindet sich direkt an der Piste (die Pilat Abfahrt, eine der "Legendary 8" Pisten in Gröden), ski-in/out ganz praktisch.
