"Simple but Elegant"

10.0

The hotel is very simple but Elegant. As you approach you may think this not what you expected from outside. Its located in old town that has old narrow streets n has its own charm. The hotel is Elegantly designed very colorful rajasthani design. Rooms have lot of character. The bed , linen n bathroom are comfortable. The views from roof top of lake are beautiful and the breakfast was simple but very delicious. The staff are well spoken n friendly. Good Value for money. I would highly recommend the hotel.

"There is NO hot water, I just took my third cold shower after the receptionist told me that the water is hot! What!?!"

4.0

It's weird, you turn on the water and it's hot for 20sec and sometimes for 2min and that's it. After that it's cold. Your turn it off for 10sec and you can get another 5sec of hot water. Obviously something is wrong there but when I got a guy from reception to come to the room he just kept repeating that "hot water comes out all the time" WHAT?!?!? other good and bad things: The room itself is not bad, the bed is comfortable, and there is good amount of space. The bathroom is big but the toilet is strangely position so it's a bit awkward to use. There is a rooftop restaurant that is ok with a great view of the lakes. The breakfast is good and served at the rooftop restaurant so it's nice in the morning. The WiFi is not bad at all, not the fastest and drops sometimes but mostly works well. The location is a mix: it's off the busy area where cars are not allowed but plenty of scooters make a lot of noise. Getting there is a bit annoying and going to a restaurant is 10-15 min walk. For some reason the staff doesn't clean the room or replace towels unless I ask for new towels. Don't know what's up with that as I'm staying for 4 nights. If the hot water worked I would give it a 4-star ok stay for the price.

"A mixed bag"

4.0

First the good things- nice, clan building with well decorated room and cute bay window a good addition. reasonable view from the roof top and 11 minute walking distance to main tourist area. now for the not so good part- our room was on the ground floor and there was distinct smell of sewage in the bathroom. spare bed for our daughter was a mattress on the floor for which they charged as quite a lot of money streets are narrow and can not be accessed by car, so if you are driving think twice no common areas other than roof top. it is not in the middle of the tourist area but in a residential neighborhood. staff is untrained and unprofessional, there is no tour desk/assistance safe in the room did not work (hotel staff gave up after trying a few times) we did not eat at the hotel so unable to comment on food,

"Not even a 2 star hotel. you’ll find better located hotels with friendly staff and cheaper price."

2.0

Liked: The view from the 3rd floor and 4th floor is decent. The window seating alcove is nice, however, you may end up keeping your bags there as there is no luggage table. Two Mineral water bottles are provided every day and there is a small fridge in the room Staff Anuj is helpful Lift available Disliked · A day before our arrival, we received a call from the GM confirming our arrival time and providing us info that an autorickshaw would pick us up from the pickup point called Bloom Boutique. We landed in Rain and called the hotel, twice, to ensure the autorickshaw is waiting for us so the last mile connection could be easy. However, upon reaching the pickup point we were made to wait for 20 mins for Rick to turn up and a different driver turned up! We were given room 109 on the 2nd floor. The rooms are smallish with no views at all. The bathrooms are small as well. Toilet accessories such as dental kit, shower caps, and shaving kit, were missing. There are no door mats and shower mats in the rooms. After about a few hours we found that there was leakage from the split AC unit which wet our luggage! We were then given room 103 on the ground floor. Below are the issues we experienced during our stay - The hotel has a bad approach road and is in the interiors which are at least 2/3 km away from main roads and eating, and shopping joints. No private car parking is available at the hotel. Private cars have to be parked at Brahmpol gate; charges 200/- per day. There are no Udaipur City maps, program pamphlets, or to-do info at the reception or in the rooms Seepage and leakage in rooms 103 & 109!! Bedsheets and bath towels are not changed every day. Only 1 hand towel is provided in a double room. Pls, carry one hand towel from home! *wink* The bed mattress is highly springy and uncomfortable. Bad for the back. No Tray is provided for keeping tea cups and glasses or saucers. We're told that an order has been placed. Rooms and bathrooms don't even have dustbins. They told us they had ordered them! Toilet had insects with a dirty wash basin. Rooms not cleaned properly, only sweeping done. Very poor housekeeping. <see foto> Remote operated ceiling fan didn't have a remote, had to keep asking for a remote! Tv didn't have any channels.

"Awestruck by the Gorgeous Haveli stay!"

10.0

This was the best place to explore and admire Udaipur, the city of lakes and the best part of our trip to Udaipur. I stayed in a luxury resort in Udaipur as well but this place won my heart. The architecture, the location, the food, the views and the people here won my heart. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. It was definitely more than value for money. Room & Premises: This place has the perfect Haveli vibe and is so gorgeous. The design of this place is so thoughtful, every corner is well thought of and beautiful. The ceilings are hand painted with beautiful designs in the reception as well as the rooms. The doors, the door handle, the key, the windows, the bed, the bed runner, the pillows, the carpet, the cabinet with the hidden refrigerator, the arches in the room, the bathroom mirror with inlay work, every corner of the room screams Haveli. The attention to detail is highly commendable. The room was cozy and the space was very well utilized so it was more than adequate. The sitting areas beside the windows were so cute! The bathroom feels like pure luxury, the bathroom mirror with inlay work was exquisite, the bathroom door reminded me of the city palace and all the faucets were sparkling! The water pressure was so good! Every floor of the building has a different color scheme, and the peacock railings on the stairs are gorgeous, especially the medley of shadows they cast at night. And the paintings in the restaurant...just mesmerizing. I can spend a full day just admiring the artistry of this place. The experience here was simply exquisite! Location: I will give this place full points for location. City palace, Bagore ki Haveli, Ambrai ghat, Jagdeesh temple were all within walking distance and we covered them by foot. Google maps definitely helped us through the maze like narrow lanes in the area. Cabs cannot enter these small lanes so make sure you arrive here by an auto. It wasn't hard to find either. To explore Udaipur from here, you can walk, hire a 2-wheeler or book an auto.We did all. Explored Bagore ki haveli, City palace and nearby market, Jagdish temple, Ambrai ghat all on foot. They helped us hire a 2 wheeler which we used to explore Karni mata temple and for some shopping. We explored Haldi ghati by auto. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well. Restaurant & Food: A good in-house restaurant goes such a long way to customer experience and these guys have nailed it! They have a 3-tier restaurant and the view from the top 2 floors of the restaurant was so amazing! We could spot Karni mata temple, City palace, Sajjan garh from here even at night. View at night was so good, the Oberoi, Leela palace, Taj palace were all lit up and cast shadows on the lake and lights everywhere were so good! The ambiance of the restaurant is so good, even the floor which doesn't have a view is a work of detailed art. We did not need to go anywhere else to enjoy the lake view during dinner. The food was so good here, we ended up eating here every night of our stay. Food was freshly prepared and lip-smacking good. The price of food justified the taste, the ambiance, the gorgeous view and the hospitality of the staff. Especially Kishan who our waiter was very prompt and polite to all our requests. Hospitality & staff: The staff was so polite and courteous! Udaipur in my experience had such genuinely good hearted people, it was refreshing to talk to the staff. They arranged a 2 wheeler for us on request at the last minute. They also contacted and arranged for a reliable auto to take us to the airport for our early morning flight. I loved the warmth of the people and hospitality of this place.
