The location is good. The breakfast was also good and made-to-order. The grounds are nice, green and tranquil, and nice to walk around. The room has a microwave, a fridge and some basic dishes, which makes it great if you want to make your own food as the restaurant closes early.

The positioning of the rooms, especially on the first floor, does not offer much privacy, and so you have to keep the curtains closed and cannot really enjoy the small balcony on offer.

It really is a hidden gem. The rooms are clean, tidy and have some nice touches. What really made this a treat are the staff. Kate whilst we were booking the rooms, Sibusiso checking us in and ensuring we were all cared for, and Samson who was so helpful. I know there were others behind the scenes, and so appreciated their parts in making it a lovely couple of days.

I hate giving criticism when I love a place so much, yet always feel you have to balance your love with your disappointments, no matter how small. The road to the property is a traditional dirt road with lots of bumps. The steps around the property are of all different heights - whilst quaint, it’s not ideal if you’re not steady on your legs. These do not put you off your stay, if not slightly adding to its charm.
