Tipsea Turtle Gili Air

It was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and ready to help, it was super easy to meet people and there were activities every night that you could join if you wanted to!

The dorms were 3 people dorms which was surprisingly nice, it didn’t at all block you from meeting people as everything else was so social

The proximity to turtle point

Too noisy for me, even if I had a double room I could hear the people laughing at the bar also late in the evening, I didnt like the atmosphere I prefer quieter places

Location near beach and many good cafes & restaurants. Turtles galore eating in the grass just off the shore each morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Water dispenser with hot & cold water nice to have. The waffles, fruit and omelette was a nice breakfast, but it would be better if it was switched every other day with something else, as after 3 mornings of the same thing it was a bit boring - but I was able to get nice avo toast at Alibaba nearby.

The Deluxe Suites are in the entry lane of the property before the reception. There is no “terrace” - the 50K rental bicycles get parked right there in front of your door - and no privacy as it is the entry way, so we had to keep our curtains closed. When we pointed this all out - that the room was not as advertised with a “terrace with garden views”, Eriel was great in responding and checking with manager who allowed us to move to a Double Room and get a refund of the difference. The Double Room is basically the same inside, and further back behind breakfast area, but cost 400K less - so it is the better choice.

Tipsea Turtle is right on the beach, it has a fantastic pool with a dive platform which my kids loved! The room was clean, and the staff was friendly and always smiling! The snorkeling right out front was amazing so many turtles!

I loved my stay at the hostel! It’s very well located (right in front of the beach), clean, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, good showers, and great staff. The hostel organizes various activities during the week, yet it’s still a chill and quiet place. The yoga classes and the breakfast are highlights as well!

Our favourite favourite place to stay on Gili Air! The breakfast (omg - waffles!!!) the location, the comfy beds, how quiet it is (especially considering it’s a hostel!! It’s still one of the quietest places I’ve stayed on the island.) Our favourite places to eat are right next door, the paddle boards to rent - just a fabulous time for the whole family!! Lexy and the staff take such good care of us and always make us feel like we’re returning to our home away from home.
