Mingary Castle - Restaurant with Rooms

The room was amazing with a four-posters bed and steps to get into the bed. The bath room was modern and fully equipped and there was a metallic bath tube from another time. The culinary experience was great and I recommend going for the full menu and wine pairing.

You have to earn it. It’s a ride in a small road, but it’s totally worth it and nothing it, I would be happy to do it again.

The room I chose was the whole top floor of the castle, with lovely views of the sea, and a large bath plus added walk in shower as well. The 8 course taster menu was also amazing, and matching wines with every course.

There was a lot of stairs, but it is built in a castle, and it’s takes a long time along single track roads to get there.

The food was poor value, we aren't fussy eaters and have travelled the world but found a couple of courses inedible. Sourdough bread course at dinner and served again at breakfast was so tough it couldn't be cut. There isn't any outdoor area other than a rampart walkway. Resident dog in the doorway and kitchen entrance, which feels like a back door to the restaurant. Definitely a restaurant with rooms not a hotel, we get the distinction now!
