Garden Village Resort

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the pool area and café were pleasant, and the coffee was really nice. Breakfast was quite basic, but it was decent enough to start the day. However, there were several issues during our stay. We stayed in one of the rooms directly around the pool, which was very noisy. As soon as you stepped out of the door, you were right at the pool, and there was music playing until around 10pm, with children using the pool early in the morning. On top of that, the nearby fiesta had very loud, heavy music that went on until around 3am, making it very difficult to sleep. While we understand the fiesta isn’t the hotel’s fault, we were only informed upon arrival that it would be taking place over the next two nights. If we had known in advance, we likely would have chosen to stay elsewhere, so some prior notice would have been appreciated. We also found transport a bit inconvenient at times. The hotel has a tricycle available, but guests weren’t allowed to use it, which made getting around a bit more difficult. We also had an issue at checkout. The hotel provides mugs in the room, which we had used and returned to be cleaned. Despite this, we were told at checkout that one was missing and were made to pay for it, which was frustrating. Additionally, we had arranged for someone to be available at 7am to assist with checkout as we had a taxi to the airport booked. Unfortunately, no one was there, which caused delays and added unnecessary stress. Finally, the room itself felt quite basic and not particularly well maintained. The bathroom had beetles, the toilet seat was loose and shifted when used, and overall it didn’t feel very clean. Overall, while there were a few positives, the combination of noise, communication issues, and room condition meant the stay didn’t meet expectations.

Service: wasserkocher verschlimmert. Warmes Bier, selbst nach Beanstandung nicht geändert. Zimmerreinigung musste mehrmals angefragt werden.

It was really calm and nice. The staff were nice and helpful, it was clean. Many anemities. The rooms are all close to the pool and the food in the garden restaurant was very good . Highly recommendable. Gonna stay there again in a few days and my next visit. 10 minutes away from the beach with the Scooter but that's completely fine

De kamers worden dagelijks schoongemaakt!

Veel gebreken in de badkamer, wasbak die los zat, douche moest je zelf vasthouden. Geen haakjes voor handdoeken. Stopcontacten deden het niet. Geen personeel achter de bar. Zwembad was een beetje vies. Er werd niks gedaan tegen de overlast van grote families met kinderen. Personeel was niet meedenkend. Hielpen niet met de tassen. We hadden een tour geboekt waarbij we vroeg moesten vertrekken. We gingen hiervoor ontbijten in het restaurant en gaven aan dat we niet heel lang de tijd hadden. Hierin dachten ze helaas niet mee. Ook was het niet mogelijk om de rekening van het ontbijt na de tour te doen, alles moest meteen afgerekend worden. Ze werkte niet met een tab. Ook niet bij het zwembad.

The hotel is located in moalboal roughly 30 mins from kawasan falls where we did cayoneering so was great for this. The hotel has a pool, not huge but a good size and all staff were friendly. The rooms we booked was a small type villa with kitchen and lounge area with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There was a small drive where we placed mopeds we had hired and an outside bench and chairs what was great.

Whilst in the property I found a small lizard buried within the curtains and also found a coakroach in the middle of the night in the lounge area. The rooms were tidy and clean so I think these creature's made their way in after the rooms had been cleaned, it wasn't a case of the rooms being dirty, t was just bad luck. Other than this it was a nice place
