Toraja Torsina Hotel

Good location/ frontdesk lady helped with getting tourguide. Whilst a fairly basic hotel, probably one of the best in town

No AC, pool was only cleaned on the day of departure

The hotel is built in a typical regional style and is surrounded by rice fields with views of hills and mountains.  A well-kept garden, pool and restaurant combine beautifully with the main building.  The rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

It is impossible to mix hot and cold water when showering, so you can only shower extremely hot or cold.  What upset us was that the owner forwarded our contact details to a travel agency.  We then received taxi offers for transfers via WhatsApp.  On the day of arrival where we wanted to rest, a guide even knocked on our door to sell us a tour.  The staff doesn't even speak the official Indonesian language, so we didn't even try English.

The Woman from the Hotel organized brilliant Guides (Gibson and Paulus)for us. So we learned so much about the culture and History of Torajan people. Many thanks to all from Anne+Frank from Berlin!

Lovely hotel with a nice swimming pool. Just outside the village. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean.

The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. The swimming pool was a bonus after returning from a tour. The covered veranda was good to have for reading or relaxing.
