Sunshine Bay Zanzibar - Adults Only

The bed was not comfortable at all, my body is very sore.there are no landlines, when yu want something to eat you have to go to the restaurant. I couldn't even call someone to come and help me with me with my bags when I was leaving.

Firstly, consider I am someone who is very well traveled across most parts of the world and have high standards for my stays and the service I receive. I can confidently say at Sunshine bay met all my expectations were met, it has all the traits for a perfect relaxing stay: Really really good food, much better then the top rated hotel I am staying at right now also on the island, incredible service, the staff super attentive and friendly, which is very important, and very good living conditions, wide rooms with comfortable bed, nice terrace, etc. Props to the manager Kilosa for being super helpful, going so far as to making sure I am to recover some AirPods I left there.

Absolutely everything!!! We had an awful experience with a local villa who gave our accommodation away so by chance ended up booking sunshine bay hotel and we are SO glad we did. From the moment we got there we had impeccable service, the girls at reception are just the best!!! We visited for our honeymoon and despite only staying for a night they were so kind and gave us a room upgrade with champagne. It was an amazing experience we will never forget and we will make sure to be back but for longer!!!

Absolutely nothing except the poached eggs were hard boiled.

Beautiful piece of land in the middle of well maintained gardens. Small hotel with only 16 rooms, clean, maybe bit aged. Very nice and kind staff. The small beach in front of the property is of the whitest of sands, easy to catch a boat to bring you to the sandbanks for snorkeling or seeing dolphins. We also ate out at SeVi Restaurant close by, so for longer stays there are options.

Some additional towels, and a little work of an interior designer would upgrade the place to a 4* property.

The breakfast was excellent

We loved everything during our stay. Especially our 2,5 years old son Adam was so happy there. Very kind, better say friendly employees and the manager too. All of them still smiling, helpfull and villing to make our wishes come true. Truly cozy room and the whole resort. A huge portions of food that was always soooo delicius. It's gonna be extremely demanding for local management and staff to do additional improvements of any kind 😏👍.

What could have been better? Well our stay could have been longer 😪

This was a last minute decision and just before travelling to Europe for Xmas, as residents in Dar. It responded to all we were looking for, peaceful environment, good facilities and kitchen, enjoyable pool and just a step away from the beach which looks like a private beach but is t and where there were no debris whatsoever. Definitely we’d love to return

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for a family vacation.
