The Babe Boutique Hotel

Clean bathroom.

Hotel is a noisy nightclub/live music bar at night until 1am outside bedroom.Volume made room vibrate, smoke from 50+ guests made our non smoking room smell like an ashtray. Management never informed us it was a planned party night. I had to go in my bathrobe at 12:40 am to stop music as could stand the noise no more. Two more hours of noise as they cleaned up. One coffee capsule in room per guest for entirety of stay. No kettle. Several items on breakfast menu not included for guests/ one coffee no refills and charge for water with breakfast. No-one at reception for arranged check in time. Pseudo 'erotic" artwork on walls ( room 2 not shown on website). Website explicitly states 'exceptionally quiet rooms' with soundproofing - not even remotely close to truth. NB i found multiple similar reviews on booking.com where management had replied that they were aware of same complaints as mine ( particularly that they don't advertise they are a nightclub venue) and were looking into making changes but they clearly don't have any intention of making good on their word and remain dishonest with their website and disrespectful to genuine visiting tourists, thinking a lame apology afterwards makes their business practice acceptable hospitality. Please could Booking.Com make it clear to potential customers that the Babe Hotel is also a live music venue and guests should expect loud music until early morning?

"Babe" means 'grandmother' in Serbian and this hotel is very much like staying at your quirky grandmother's who used to write erotic fiction! It's in a lovely residential area of the city with a park nearby and nice for walking. Decor looks like it was sourced from a variety of estate sales. The rooms are big, lots of antiques and weird oversized art of nude women and couples. The bed was comfortable but sheets and bedding reminded me of 1980s Ikea. The bathroom was updated but no hair dryer. The restaurant was fantastic!! The food and service were some of the best we've had in a long, long time. The servers are wonderful! Friendly, helpful, and great at their job! There are only 3 rooms and apartment. It was a quirky little place but we'd go back.
