Locanda La Pergola

The location was off the beaten path, on the other side of the Peninsula. That made it perfect and challenging at the same time. At the end of a chaotic day in Bellagio we could go there to enjoy a quiet, peaceful afternoon. Breakfast time in the morning overlooking the lake was amazing!! And the staff it was over the top!

It was a little bit hard to find at first. Once we knew the shortcuts and the road options, we were much better off.

El hotel ubicado en un sector con mucha tranquilidad, encantador . El desayuno muy bien y hacerlo en una terraza con vista al lago. La señora que sirve el desayuno nos ayudó para conseguir taxi , muy amablemente.

Las escaleras que tenes que subir y bajar para llegar pero se soluciona tomando un taxi y viajando livianos . Vale la pena!

The view from Lake view room is spectacular. Bed is comfortable, good towels, good internet. However - not enough outlets, especially by the bed. Lots of variety for breakfast, but eggs is extra pay. Restaurant doesn't work, may be only July-August? The staff not giving any information, especially that there is bar and some food on the weekends. No one wrote in reviews, how difficult to get in and out from this hotel and since restaurant not working and no other places to eat, you have a trek every time - up 87 steps, just to main road.

1.Location. Its 10 minutes walk from town or ferry, but its extremely strenuous and you have to do it for everything! Hard to get there with suitcases. Hard to get taxi. 2. Staff - never in our traveling we met such unpleasant staff. We came for 5 nights, not hotel humping. Someone working in hospitality can't make you feel as you are not welcome and not helpful. We asked questions - hardly got answers at the reception. The night clerk was pretty attentive, but the morning receptionist was very unpleasant. We ask to call taxi - told its not available. She didn't even called or tried (but we called ourselves and got it in 5 minutes). We were told there is no food, but saw people eating in the restaurant all the time. There is no water or tea in the lobby and no kettle in the rooms. There is no restaurants close by, so you must go up those uneven steps every time. I wish more travelers write about this location problem. The place is beautiful to relax, but I will not recommended this hotel to someone who has luggage, older people, someone with mobility issues and someone who comes for 1 night. The pictures on the website are not representing the reality.

The view to the lake and the hotel itself is very nice. The area is also nice and quiet without all the tourists.
